We are expecting that sometime in 2022, recreational use of weed will be made legal federally here in Mexico. Mexico's Supreme Court, in May/22, has already stated in its majority opinion that restricting "how much" to any amount for personal use is unconstitutional, and if the crown wants to allege trafficking, it has the onus of proving that the amount is not for personal use.

We anticipate then being able to accommodate the cannabis aficionados (potheads for you older agave distillate drinkers) by taking clients to a couple of palenques which infuse and/or distill their mezcal with marijuana; for sampling, and for buying if so inclined. And we can bring along for a taste during the course of the day, our own stash of mezcal with different cannabis expressions, including distilled with weed and fruit. But if this interests you, ask us well in advance so we can make plans with our palenquero friends to accommodate that passion. And don't until its 100% legal to ask us how we can accommodate your desires in this regard. Even now, we've been able to pull proverbial rabbits out of our hat.
